How to Most Efficiently Water your Lawn

Knowing how to efficiently water your instant lawn is a valuable bit of knowledge, especially when there are water restrictions in place. Even if you just want to save some water – which is always a good idea – there are definitely good ways to water your lawn that requires less water and, better yet, minimal effort.                                             

First, only water your lawn when the grass needs it. You can tell if your grass is feeling thirsty by just looking at it. If it looks a bit on the blue-grey side, it’s time to water it. You can also test it by seeing if it bounces back upright immediately after you step in it – if it doesn’t, it needs water.

You should also make sure you turn them on or programme them to turn on in the mornings, certainly before 9am, to reduce loss of water through condensation.
